Doorknobs

I love old doorknobs! These knobs are from the doors of the house we visited today.

Before leaving Abilene, Kansas we spent two hours learning about the 34th president of the US, Dwight Eisenhower. We saw his boyhood home which still contains original furnishings. A walk back in time. We toured the library building where there were exhibits and a timeline of Eisenhower's life. A very interesting and enlightening morning. The grounds are just beautiful with tall trees and grassy areas.

A total of 350+ miles today and we are now just west of St. Louis, Missouri. Remind me not to drive through Kansas City again! It is a maze of roads! Oh, wait...tomorrow I drive through St. Louis to get to the Gateway Arch where there is no parking. We have to find a parking garage and either walk or catch a shuttle to the site. Thinking hard on this one! We might just do a dtive by for Joyce to see it!
