Heron on sentry duty

Yet another trip to the local lake to check on the swans. I had been told there has been a heron sighted but not seen it myself until today. Such a handsome bird! I was torn which photo to blip as just before I sighted this handsome bird I had seen a pair of Canada Geese with their little brood, see extra.
