Three Ships

Up north and then to the NE to Samothraki which sounds like somewhere Danys keeps her dragons. A good sail on flat seas, but a cold, cold wind.
All the time we hear the Greek coastguards transmitting... "Turkish warship, Turkish warship, these are Greek territorial waters".. followed by a long string of coordinates and a demand to leave. Wonder how they get on on joint NATO exercises?
So, a stroll round the town, which is a dull affair, notwithstanding the brightly painted interior of the church and the flowers on all the roadsides. Indeed.
So we decide to eat aboard after a beer (a local brewery!) with a crowd of old boys off an Irish boat. They’re on their way up to Istanbul. Their cap’n tells us it’ll take 24 hours to do the paperwork and it’ll cos about €600. Robbery. I think we should send a warship.
