Tree of Life

Counted cross stitch is one of my hobbies.....
during this Easter holiday , when we had some very wet days, it seemed like a good time, to make a final push, to finish this piece of work.

I bought the cloth and pattern, while we were in Monument Valley National Park....September 2017.......

It’s the Tree of Life pattern......a traditional Navajo design......using primitive colours obtained from plants and roots

I’m not a fast stitcher.........fitting in the embroidery between other family activities!
However, I’ve now completed it .....and taken it to the framer in the village
It’s a lovely memory of a fantastic holiday, that we had in the US National Parks.
