No 25 drifts down the hill into Wittersham

I was the duty signalman at Wittersham Road supervising a learner signalman on his last turn before his passing out turn. There was little for me to do as he is already a competent signalman at Rolvenden signalbox and also assists on the signalman's training courses so there's not much he doesn't know about the rules! But, each box is different and it has to be learned and passed out from.

The boot was on the other foot last year as he was duty signalman at Tenterden Town when I was in on one of my learning turns!

A wonderful sunny day down at Wittersham Road, heard a cuckoo, saw a buzzard, kestral and a swift. It really is a delightful, isolated wayside station. I thought mono was an interesting choice as No 25 could have been in a scene from many years ago. (although the coaching stock may have given the game away)
