Today was a beautiful sunny and blustery day. It didn't rain much over night and the river level had dropped slightly. This is the view from the bridge linking Linton On Ouse and Newton On Ouse, only passable by foot.

Andy and I put up the outdoor Christmas lights, which worked fine until we had strung them all up. Then we plugged them in and nothing. Two wires had snapped, but with a bit of electrical handy work on Andy's part whilst I rediscovered hula hooping and ta-dar fixed! We took Wendell to the station, bundling him like a hostage between mum's car one side of the bridge and ours the other. Then we joined other Linton folk with a glass of mulled wine and a right good spread at the Scofields.
