Flighty

Another glorious day. We drove over to Snape and walked along the Alde Estuary to Snape Warren. The estuary has some great mudflats at low tide, and we saw a good selection of waterfowl and waders. Our primary aim for the day was to spot Woodlarks on the Warren, which we did soon after arriving there. They are a bird mainly found in the South and East of the UK so not one we are likely to see at home. Sadly, I failed to get a decent shot, despite some good views of a pair. 
There were lots of butterflies around, notably Small Coppers, Peacocks, and Brimstones, and finally, one of the many Orange Tips settled to feed for long enough for me to get a shot.
