Playing in the waves
The water is still pretty cool, and the waves were too big to have a nice swim, but I managed to do some floating and catching some droplets.
We now call our beach hour (we're usually there only 1-2 hours) a reading hour. It's really nice to read a book in peace and then have a swim. It's very relaxing.
I made one dress today. I went to see Angie and Alex at the charity shop and they had been waiting for me. It was lovely to see them. Angie still had family here visiting her so she was busy with them and only visiting the shop.
We were supposed to go visit our Finnish friends this afternoon, but got a message that Erkki's sister had died, so they were in no condition to see us. Very understandable. Terrible news really. I don't know if she had been ill or if this was just out of the blue. They are leaving for Finland with the camper van in 2 weeks time, so I wonder if they now have to leave sooner for the funeral. They had planned to have a long, calm, enjoyable road trip through Europe, but that might not be possible in these circumstances.
I'm very hungry after the beach, so I need to go get something to raise my blood sugar.
PS. I'm sorry that Finland and Poland didn't qualify for the Eurovision finals. What can you do. Like the commentator said during the first semifinals yesterday: it's like throwing darts when drunk. No one knows what will be trending each year. And I guess that's a part of the fun. (I did like many that qualified like Australia and Iceland, but some where just shit like the porn star looking chain smoking guy representing San Marino. I'd rather listen to Bananaraman's "Na Na Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye". That's the only Na na na na there can be - for me. :-D
