This is the old bridge connecting the town's east and west sides. Built in 1535 and replacing a wooden bridge from around 1300, it obviously has historic and architectural value. For the last thirty years or so there has been a modern bridge further along the river, although this old bridge is still much valued for local traffic, pedestrians and cyclists.
