Cats

I am covered in cat fur, and it's wonderful. Marius is the guest photographer in this post, which captured me petting the very sweet 16-year-old Pusur (Garfield in Norwegian). I like the cats here at his friend's place - they're sweet and don't bite me unlike my cat back home. It's been a relaxing few days and his friends have been very good to us. It's going to be a very white Christmas at this rate too, it still hasn't stopped snowing. We went into Kragerø and the spot where we used to go to look at the view of the fjord was a complete whiteout.

I participated in a Norwegian tradition for the first time this evening and watched the sketch Grevinnen og hovmesteren (Dinner for One, or The 90th Birthday). NRK shows it at 9pm every year on the 23rd. I was told one year they showed it early and got so many complaints that they had to show it again later that same night. It was really quite funny and has definitely been added to my Christmas watch list (which currently consists of The Man Who Came to Dinner)
