Denver Botanic Garden
We met up with Pipersmom, Elaine, at our hotel this morning as she drove from her home to join us for a visit to the Denver Botanic Garden. I hate driving in city traffic with one way streets and not knowing where I am going. Thanks to Diane for being the navigator with the Google map directions.
We spent about five hours in the gardens. They were fantastic with so much blooming. Many of the flowers blooming were early spring flowers such as tulips, daffodils and irises but there were also many other kinds. The purple colors seemed to catch my eye the most today so I used them to surround a photo of the four of us. Always ask a stranger to take a photo of you and your friends!!
Tomorrow we start early with Diane to the airport at 5am (thankful for the hotel shuttle service!) then Joyce and I will begin our drive east shortly after that. Hoping to drive across most or all of Kansas tomorrow which will take 9 or 10 hours. No mountain roads to deal with, just flat country!!
