Black-throated

The Black-throated Diver was on patrol. With the female hidden away somewhere on a nest, the male was diligently patrolling their end of  Lochindorb and preventing incursions from any other hapless birds. A female Mallard and her two youngsters was given the full stretched-out incoming torpedo threat to send them running quackers.

Afterwards, of course, it involved an extended session of deep preening and a bit of stretching.
