We referred to ourselves as the “Period Drama Appreciation Society” when we met (nearly 20 years ago - yikes). So as our weekend abode was just round the corner from Lyme which was used as Pemberley in the BBC P&P, we couldn’t resist getting involved in this level of ridiculousness. Later we watched an awful lot of P&P on Netflix whilst eating our own body weight in cake, crisps (and maybe a few glasses of wine). Such a joy to be with these women.
