French mantel clock

After a house call first thing, I returned to complete the repair and assembly  of this rather fine platform escapement French mantel clock.  It was very difficult to dismantle it without doing damage but once out of its case it proved relatively straightforward. I must however remember to remove the rubber band! I then started on a second clock before taking a walk out in the sunshine and picking some broccoli before it gets chopped down.  There were plenty of small side florets but it is beyond sellable and will soon go to seed and be ploughed back in.  At least some of it is not going to waste.
