Panting

I was a bit worried about this song thrush when I saw it in the garden as it wasn't moving even though I wasn't far away and it seemed to be in a kind of trance. The good news is, it eventually got up and ran off down the garden with its mate. I realise now it had been panting, as birds do when it's hot and they need to cool down.

Just got round to upgrading my membership, so I'm looking forward to doing fancy things like adding extra photos* and choosing my thumbnail crops.  According to my calculations, I've now done 1227 entries which, when added to my previous account, makes a total of 2568.  I haven't missed any days this time round but I think I did last time, annoyingly.

*So, two extras for today: Basil in the garden and last night's Moon (67% waxing gibbous).
