The House, Kettle's Yard, Cambridge

We nearly didn't bother to go through the house, because it's ticketed and the wait was a bit longer than really suited. But gosh it was good. I will go again some time. 
This is like walking into a Japanese Zen garden, aesthetics as a contemplative or meditative experience.You enter at the heart of the spiral and it unfolds, enlarging as you go from room to room. It helps if you like old wood, of course.
