Spanish Steps

Another action packed day. Our morning walking tour took us from the Spanish Steps, past the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. We ended the tour at Piazza Navona where we had lunch and then we made our way back to the Spanish Steps so we could climb them and take some pics.  The views from the top were amazing. Later in the afternoon (after a nap) we took a cab to the Archbasilica of St. John Lateran.  What an amazing church.  After seeing the sights there, we headed across the street to Scala Sancta where we were able to ascend the Holy Stairs. It was one of the highlights of the trip.  Due to recent renovations the stairs were uncovered and were exposed for the first time in almost 300 years.
