Bluebells by Loch Striven

Everybody locally is remarking on the exceptional displays of bluebells this year . In part it may be due to last summer’s warmth but some of it is also as a result of the treatment to eradicate bracken which has been going on in various parts of the country.

The wonderful displays by the road in the woods above Loch Striven are attracting much attention and many people are stopping (sometimes in not very sensible places as Cathleen and I alarmingly discovered coming home yesterday) to photograph them.

This juxtaposition caught my eye today.
