Water everywhere!

Today at Steamboat Springs we woke up to frost but it warmed up very quickly!  We traveled a short distance to Fish Creek Falls and then returned to town to walk along the Yampa River riverwalk.     At the waterfall, we were shooting directly into the sun, the waterfall was in the shade.   No skills that I learned helped me to get a really good shot of the falls.   Wrong time of day!     

We then drove to Rifle Falls State Park about 2 hours away!  It was packed with Sunday people!!    Diane and I walked to the falls and enjoyed the trail up behind the falls!  As you can see there are three falls here and up top is actually a small lake that the water flows from.  It is a gorgeous area.   As before the sun was  in front of us!    

The lake at Rifle Gap state park was very beautiful and calm and at least the sun was behind us there! 

A good day of water watching!   And almost 3 miles walked!

At Rifle for the night with the drive back to Denver beginning in the morning.  We plan to spend the night near the Denver Botanical Gardens so we can visit them on Tuesday...hopefully with blipper Pipersmom joining us!
