A wander in The Shire

Yes, we saw the Hobbit yesterday but we weren't overly impressed - very long, very literal storytelling and I got very confused between the trolls and the goblins. The animation was pretty spectacular though and Gollum as always stole the show.

Today the artistic director and his assistants have been to Glengarrif which would make a perfect setting for The Shire. So rich, green, mossy, watery and magical. Hours of photographic footage has been taken for son#2's forthcoming music video which has a watery theme. The deadline is mid January and panic was starting to set in but all is a bit calmer tonight.

Himself is off to the airport bright and early as my brother is arriving tomorrow - can it really be Christmas Eve??
