Combe is a very West Country word.

Combes are not like your 'Rest of England' valley, they have a character all of their own.

This particular one is in the flightpath of Bristol Airport.

So, as well as fairies and goblins you have a fair chance of seeing an Easy Jet air craft.... Splendid...
