Gathering

On a lovely sunny evening we were at St Cuthbert's Church, Carlisle for a concert. And what a concert! The complete wind section of the Royal Northern Sinfonia performed a wonderful selection of music, including pieces by Debussy, Strauss and Benjamin Britten, but focused on Mozart's Gran Partita. A stunning performance by all, but particularly the guest Flautist, Silvija Scerbaviciute, who was amazing and then of course the Director Steven Hudson, a charismatic and dynamic oboist whom we have seen and admired before. Super evening.
