on this mother’s day

especially my very own sister - who was a mother to - 3 wonderful kiddos who continue - to struggle with the fact - she is gone, as this day - is a reminder of that fact - even though it’s been almost 3 years now - they still deal with their grief - in a very real way as though - it was yesterday - and given she was my sister - i totally understand that constant battle

yet i look at her kids - and see reflected in them - characteristics of her which bring her - back to life in a myriad of ways - their strength, courage, intelligence and wit - their kindness and compassion towards others - a willingness to sacrifice - so selfless, would make her proud - and gives this aunt great joy - so though it may be difficult to celebrate - when i evaluate all these things - it really does lead to...
