Cumbria

Yesterday was the clubs first fly-out of the year and we went to the Isle of Mann.
On the way back I too this shot of Cumbria.
Those mountains look so big from down there look quite small from up here.
My first flight over the sea, so I had to buy and wear a life jacket during the flight.
Not quite the May West, ad the red and blue cover completely hides the bright yellow functional bit.
Interestingly the other pilot on the trip hadn’t flown across water before either.
We agreed on landing that it was a good thing we didn’t get to use them.
