A great "Lighthouse" day out to The Kelpies, Falkirk Wheel (extra), Wallace Monument (I climbed the hill to the top) then a visit to Stirling Castle (closed by then but lovely views) followed by a meal out.
If you've never walked up the "Monument Trail" it's steep but well worth it as on each hairpin bend there are wooden sculptures to admire while you get your breath back!
