I'm experimenting with an app called plantsnap that identifies a plant when you take a picture of it. I have snapped things I know the name of to try it and so far it has been excellent. You can save the plants too so if you see anything you want to buy you can even connect to nurseries. I haven't tried this yet but it's good so far. It also gives you a scientific name and common name. The common names can be quite amusing.

Today is the Sunderland 10k run. The faster runners are on the opposite side of the road.
