The Knife Angel
I have travelled to Wolverhampton today visiting friends. We stopped first in Birmingham to visit an exhibition that one of my walking colleagues has on in the library. He has an eye for white bicycles and has many photos with this theme. It was timed to be on when the Nello cycle race was taking place here. As we walked across to the library we saw the Knife Angel which has recently arrived from Coventry. It is an amazing sculpture made from knives collected during a knife amnesty by the police. Friends of Knife victims were invited to leave the victims name and messages to be engraved on the wings which were made from the knife blades. The artist sculptor is Alfie Bradley. See extras for an enlargement of the sculpture and a reflection of the bullring. I can’t resist taking ones here.
Tomorrow I head to the Lake District for a photography course. Very exciting.
