Stranded

It's not often I see this site on our beach or the whale which was next to it, see extra.

However a closer look reveals they are blow up and the people around are on a marine stranding training course. First time I have seen them around here

Really busy out doors day. At 6 pm I decided to trip a few branches from out 15yr old overgrown hedge. 2 hours later and I had trimmed it right back to the ground, checking for birds nests first of course. I am knackered.

In the middle of all this all the chooks had a massive turf war with the residents ganging up on the newcomers. I let it run until it started getting out of hand and then used the hose pipe, carefully aimed, to sort them out. That seemed to settle things for a while anyway.
