Ships Ahoy

A feast of maritime goodies at the annual "Ship Ahoy" get together of Scottish steamer nuts including some very fine action models from the Glasgow model ship club. The banter was much about the bad news concerning the paddle steamer Waverley's withdrawal from operations until new boilers can be afforded and fitted. Engineers have been working to repair her 20 year old boilers since February but found more faults than anticipated. Unless over £1 million can be raised quickly she could be out of action 2019 and maybe even 2020.
