Rain is good

With relief I notice the tree in the back green has at last started to produce its leaves, thanks to plenty of rain in the last few days. Soon I will not be able to see the old man who lives behind it. He spends much of his time at his window, folding things with care - garments, I should think - and taking photographs of them. I will not be able to see him again until almost Christmas, which is fitting as he has a luxurious white beard.
