I see no ships

Some colleagues at work were rowing on the Thames tonight from Chelsea to Deptford for charity and myself and EJ said we’d cheer them on from Westminster Bridge as they came by. There were 5 teams from different depts including the exec team, and my boss and apprentice.
As we got to Westminster early we went for a drink and tried to work out how long it would take them, whilst chatting to some Canadian tourists.
We stood eagerly on the bridge with our balloons for half an hour and decided the teams were either too slow or too fast, but we missed them. I was so disappointed and a very embarrassed as I’d said we’d be there and had sent photos and told them to look for the balloons.
My boss called me when they’d finished and I still don’t know what time they came past but he said it had been great but hard work. I’m still kicking myself, a lot. I was hoping fir some good photos of them too.
