Mother in the kitchen

My parents moved to this house in the early eighties when bright red colour schemes were seen as the ultimate in cool.

Nowadays the rest of mum's house is furnished in beige (what is it about old people and light brown!), however the kitchen was always too expensive to retile.

I'm really glad because it was my only contribution to the house.
