At Josie's Cabin

We left Moab for a 4 hour drive to Vernal, Utah which is the closest town to Dinosaur National Monument which was our destination for today.   We ran into some rain after turning north as we traveled to Price, Utah.   From Price we climbed high through the Unitah Mountains...and it turned much colder and was snowing lightly!    As we got to lower elevation, the sun popped out and temperature climbed up to wonderful weather!!  

We visited the Quarry Center of Dinosaur National Monument to see the bones of dinosaurs killed millions of years ago right where they were buried by the natural disaster that changed the earth's surface.   

Also part of the park is the homestead cabin of Josie Bassett Morris,who lived here mostly alone for 50 years until her death at age 90 in 1964.    Her story is very interesting and there is good information on Google if you want to look.
