Flower Friday: Aquilegia

Those are leaves, not aquilegia admittedly, in the background! These continue to grow wildly and prettily in our back garden.

After the weekly shop this morning, we spent the afternoon at Kate's waiting for the telephone engineer to come and sort out the internal wiring which Talk Talk said was to blame for the unreliable service. The engineer was prompt and efficient and quickly spotted that the external wiring had not been replaced as Talk Talk claimed it had, that the internal wiring was fine, and that both the external wire and its supporting telegraph pole would need to be replaced; that requires a specialist team of course!

Still, it gave me an excuse to spend an afternoon reading Sue Perkins' account of her travels on the Mekong River, "East Of Croydon"; very entertaining.
