Cleaning cups

Our tea mugs never seem to get washed properly, so they accumulate disgusting amounts of tannin. Soya milk seems to add to the problem by not rinsing off easily. See the extra photo if you’re brave.

My cousin found that Astonish oven cleaner was indeed astonishing, so when I discovered they did a cup cleaner, I bought some.

I put some of the cleaner in the cups and filled them up with hot water. Mr Pandammonium’s frothed up like the frothiest coffee.

After three applications and a wash with washing-up liquid and a scourer sponge, they came up astonishingly clean and shiny. See the extra photo.

Mr Pandammonium had look. ‘They’re a bit garish.’

I don’t know why I bother.
