'Christmas Party at Uncle Stephen's'

Another bloody hot day today, topped at around 39 degrees.

We had our Christmas catch up lunch with my Dad's side of the family today out in Kilmore, about an hours drive north of Melbourne.

It's always great to catch up with this side of my family, and we don't do it enough. Uncle Stephen was test driving his new spit roaster that a mate of his had made for him using a second hand windscreen wiper motor and a battery charger to power it up. He got a mix of meat from a friend of a friend who is a local butcher (beef, pork & chicken) and it was cooked to perfection.

The kids had a lot of fun catching up with all of my younger cousins, playing billiards, wrestling each other and just having fun. Uncle Stephen has turned his carport in to the kids playroom / his man shed and set it up with sofa's, billiards table, huge tv, all sorts of drums, keyboards and a dining table. He's also air conditioned it, so that's where I spent most of the day.

This photo is my youngest cousin Rachael with her pet parrot Frank who she's had for about a year now. He's got a really good temperament, unlike the other female parrot they have who has been banished to living outside in a cage. Frank lives in Rachael's bedroom right next to her pet turtle. She also owns and rides a black pony.

I haven't touched the colour in this process work, just a slight bit of contrast and a very light vignette, otherwise SOOC
