Titmouse--Nest-builder!
We returned this morning to the Fort River Refuge, for a fair number of birds. We saw a pair of Tufted Titmouse (titmice?) flying back and forth building their nest; they went 75 to 100 meters to a marshy area, picking up what could have been most. (This was a distant shot--thus the fuzziness.) The male red-winged blackbird in the extra was near the parking lot--his guttural cry or screech is given with a spread tail and wing-flap.
