I really enjoy tennis!
Previously playing... now watching!

My Blip today.... is David Ferrer.....
taken from the sports pages of our Alicante Información newspaper

David is from Javea ..... a few miles further up the coast from us....
he is well respected and admired in these parts.....

The Madrid Open is being played right now...
This will be Ferrer’s last Tournament....
he’s announced his retirement, after the Madrid Open Championship ....

He won his first game in this Tournament .... and now is into the 2nd round

He has started to establish local tennis schools, up and down the coast
..... to develop the next generation of tennis players
