A Day Worth Recording

E had managed to get us and two guests tagged on to a large group visiting Morton Hall gardens in Worcestershire.  They only open on certain days and generally to a limited number but it is possible to get a 'filling-in' place on one of these days.

Quite a lot of the garden was dominated by the tulip festival weekend they've just had - and we were invited to take home some of the cut flower tulips they'll throw out otherwise.  (Our house is now liberally decorated with tulips).

This is the 'meadow', currently dominated by camasias and buttercups with alliums coming on.  Earlier in the year it's daffodils, then fritillaries - must have been impressive then too.

Had us coming away mulling on some of our less exciting grassy areas...
