Raindrops on his Head
Us Friends of Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens are an intrepid bunch. Undeterred by the rain we met for a guided tree walk, led by Greg who is the Parks' tree supervisor. Admiring some rare and unusual specimens (and unusual trees too) we made our way through the park as the downpour got more intense.
Ending up at the Ranger's Lodge in the middle of the park at lunchtime we were treated by Sue, our chair, to a welcome glass of wine and cheesy nibbles.
Greg is a real expert, giving us botany that is intense but understandable. Mind you, by the time I got home I had forgotten most of it.
