Hygeia

This 2018 sculpture by Terry Stringer is placed in open grass outside the Auckland School of Medicine. I have previously blipped another figure by Stringer which is on Broadway in Newmarket. Ninety degrees to the right reveals a very different image.

Both sculptures use hands and fingers interacting with a head in ways that can disconcert the viewer. At the same time, this unusual creation makes one reconsider the initial perception.
