The 'khlongs' are another characteristic feature of Bangkok along with the 'sois'.
In the past, they were the only way to go from one place to the other. There are still many existing canals, although many have disappeared.
But some, like in today's blip, are still used by modern water-taxis.
Here, it shows one of the many mosques along the canals, as it is a place that seems to be favored by the Thai Muslim community.
