Figsbury Ring

I went for a short walk this evening up here. Even though I have lived in the area for 6 years, since moving down from Essex, it's the first time that I have been here. It is a lot bigger than I imagined it to be.

I stood on the outer Rampart trying to imagine what the view would have been like several thousand years ago when it was occupied. As it was windy and late evening, I ended up just imagining that it would be cold!
