Fishermen's Foe

Very excited as Reynard and Hermeline have three, not two, cubs. They were playing on the drive at lunchtime under the watchful eye of one of the parents. 

Ollie dog and I had a nice walk at Fishers Green. Lovely to see our grebe family. There are still three grebelets but the parents are having to fend off coots and swans. I've added a pic to extras of one of the grebelets eating a feather given to it by its father.

This cormorant was perched in a tree overhanging the water. I like the way it coordinates with the Xanthoria lichen.
