Wentworth by the Sea

This is not far from my work.

Wentworth by the Sea is in Newcastle NH, built in 1874. The hotel closed in 1982 and locals tried to preserve the hotel but we unable to locate sufficient support. The planned demolition was planned for 1995, which drew attention to the old hotel.

The supporters attempted to keep it erect by calling attention to it’s eminent demise through National Trust for Historical Preservation.

A buyer was found in 1997 and the building was completely renovated to what it looks like today. It is a wonderful running, functioning hotel in the midst of the sea coast of New Hampshire.
