Day 2. Shopping in Dubai

We woke up on time this morning and headed down for breakfast at 9am. Wow! You have never seen anything like it. Porridge, salads, full English, waffles pancakes, omelettes and everything in between. I feel bloated just writing about it.

We then had the taxi ride from hell. 40 mins of driving too fast, tooting horns at cars for no reason, taking mobile phones calls and not slowing down for speed bumps.... You can imagine how car sick I felt by the time we reached the mall.

What a mall! It was HUGE. The Dubai mall was not here last time we came and it was just amazing. Every shop you could think if (except Primark!), was there. Rachel got a build a bear, Matt got a Starbucks and I bought shoes :-). They even had these little red taxis within the mall as its too much walking. Plus an underwater zoo with the worlds largest aquarium and an ice skating rink.

The taxi drive home was much better and we spent a few hours by the pool drinking cocktails (well, I drank cocktails) before getting ready for our evening Italian meal, which was divine.

I love it here. I'm so chilled and I'm already half way through a good book.
