not quite a dozen roses

my uncle and cousins come every so often to visit my grandparents. when they're here they hit up excalibur to win some prizes. the last time they were here they got stuck playing this one game, trying to win the big prize. it took a lot of tries and they 'earned' the mini-giveaways. they couldn't trade them in for a bigger one so they became a gift for my grandma.

she's totally into plants. back in our old house in san francisco she had an orchid shed in our backyard and various other plants inside. unfortunately she had to give them up once she moved to las vegas. the weather in the desert isn't the most pleasant... she makes up for it by having tons of fake plants.

i heard the story of this flower accumulation, and when i came back from vacation i spotted the flowers in a pretty vase on the family picture table. as i walked by it, i couldn't help but smile. my grandma loves it when they come...

there are 12 in the vase, but i dont know if there were more and she just decided to throw the rest away...
