What a lovely day:-

To Soar

I have never seen the Concorde Aeroplane in real life.  today I had the opportunity to go and see it at its new home at Filton, Bristol.

The new museum occupies part of the old airfield and the buildings, although appearing modern, make use of the old hangars.

It was a treat to see this machine.  Having lived through the era the forgotten familiar names of the pilots began to surface (Trubshaw et al)

Also the immortal words of Harold Wilson concerning the Concorde and the wonderful times we were then living in, began to flood back....

The museum  of the Bristol Aircraft Co.  is well worth a visit.
