The Day After

Well, it appears that those pesky Mayans were wrong after all. When I looked out my bedroom window this morning, there before my very eyes was something strangely resembling a world outside. Three cheers for the world and for the Mayans and those silly enough to believe what they predicted, TOUGH !
All of which is just as well really as it leaves the rest of us free to keep on blipping. Mind you the end of the world would also have meant the end of this terrible old factory in Arklow. On the day after, it's still standing and apparently so full of asbestos that nobody wants to run the risk of being the one to pull it down.
