Garden Morris Dancing
Over many years a neighbour has raised thousands of pounds for Save the Children by opening her beautiful garden and coffee mornings.
Yesterday was one of her Open Gardens and F and I went as it's always great to look around a beautiful garden. This year is the centenary of the charity and the founder Eglantyne Jebb was born in Ellesmere so there has been a few events to remember her. There was a presentation about her in the wildlife meadow by a lady dressed up as Eglantyne..
There was also a plant sale and a display of morris dancing by Kinnerton Morris Men from Chester. They always attend as her late husband used to dance in the side.
Last night I went to the music session in Ellesmere for the first time since the op. It was lovely to see everyone and to play my concertina again.
